One of the best ways to learn how to make sure you intake is not sabotaged is to decode labels. Look for total calories, serving sizes and %’s from fats, carbs and proteins. Notice I didn’t use the word “diet”. “Diet” just means a certain way to eat, so everyone is on a diet all the time. In the typical diet or weight loss plan, most of the weight that is lost is found within the following 6 months. So, focus on forming new lifestyle habits not introducing yourself to the latest diet fad. Fads wont’ take off the fat. Decode labels and clean out your pantry! Just start pitching stuff that’s not getting you where you want to go… Yup yup!
All calories come from 3 categories: carbohydrates, proteins and fats. In that order, your ratio should be 50, 30, 20. Half of your intake should come from carbs. They have received a bad rap in the last decade, but they are your energy source and the source for your brain to function. Here’s the real deal; it’s not about high and low, it’s about good and bad. The fad used to be low fat, then low carb, now it’s high protein. Don’t focus on high and low focus on good and bad. For example, a bad source of carbs would be cookies, white breads and pasta. A good source of carbs are fruits, veggies and whole grains. Focus on a balanced approach of clean eating. Develop that lifestyle habit. Just begin with making small changes and keep that idea going. Over time, you will be amazed at how you look and feel!
Keep it up! Every little bit helps!
Fill your head with the best, not the worst.
