You live on the level consistent with the way you see yourself. So, give yourself an upgrade! Upgrade your self esteem, your confidence, your belief and your servant leadership.

I remember being in the AT&T store last summer trying to get a new phone. The reason I could not get a new phone is because "I was not eligible for an upgrade". That didn't settle right with me. I usually don't take things personally but it was just that phrase that rubbed me the wrong way. And I get the circumstance, with the contract and all, but still I just didn't appreciate the fact that someone was telling me I couldn't have what I wanted even when I was going to give them money.

Having said that, sometimes circumstances or people try to tell us we are not eligible for an upgrade. It's too easy to take on that inferiority feeling, or to feel that you are just not good enough and you don't really have what it takes to get it done. Here is what we are to do, speak to that negative emotion and go ahead and give yourself that upgrade. Self esteem comes from self. You are authorized to go for it, to do it, to get it done, to call up will power from within, to establish concrete in your mind, to be steady in heart, and to treat people fairly in the process.

Indeed.

Don't ever think you are not the right person to do what's in your heart to do.

The temptation to feel discouraged when it comes to your big dreams, is too often too real. I was thinking in the office the other day about some BHAG's I have for 2011. Big Hairy Agressive Goals. The thoughts I had for the first few minutes of my deep thinking session were sweet. Then, I started thinking about all the work, the lack of connections, and other potential monkey wrenches. As my emotions started to go south a little, my spirit kicked in and said "don't ever think you are the wrong person to do what's in your heart to do!" Then my motivation went back to where it needs to be, at a high level.

So remind yourself that the good you were born to do, you will do! The right connections and resources will absolutely come your way.
