This book is all about how to live life by design and not by default. It is primarily for teens/young adults, but all can get a little somethin’ somethin’ from it. It talks about how to transform your life by training your brain, and then teaches you how to walk that out in everyday life. The decisions of life are made in the mind, so you alter your life by changing the way you think. Stop and Think challenges people to think about what they think about. Then the book underlines how those thoughts develop patterns, patterns of action that will turn into lifestyles. Mastering your emotions, pimping (or regenerating) your mind, love, sex, values, choices, taming impulses, attitudes, reactions, how to be healthy, money and budgets, are all discussed. It goes over life issues and struggles, choices and empowering your mind to empower your life. It talks about stuff most wished somebody would have shared with them when they were young. To do something so simple every day like stopping and thinking, will promote mental and spiritual growth and health! You can’t just go for what looks good, but for what is good. It’s raw and authentic. The big deception is that you can sow your wild oats while you are young and have no ripple effects n your adult life. W h a t I f that teen stopped and really thought before he pulled that trigger? What if he really stopped and thought about it before he swallowed all those pills? What if that young lady could stop to think about her self esteem and how beautiful she really is? What if that guy really stopped and thought about it before he tried his first cigarette? What if people of all ages stopped to think about God?
See what I mean? We need a revolution of the mind, and it all starts with stopping and thinking. Live your life by design not by default!
